Boot into Safe-Mode (F8 at boot), log into the Admin account and then run the software. Also try the likes of AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy.

If you are still having issues removing the spyware, I recommend using a boot disk. Download the program (33.5 mb or so) use your windows disk and it's slipstraming utility to get the windows data. Burn the cd. Boot to the cd (either alter bios or use the key to special boot (F12 on Dells)). Run Adaware.

Hope this helps.

When you set up your PC you may not have set up your name as the administrator but as the guest on our computer and as a guest you cannot make any big changes without administrators leave.

try it under safe mode with networking boot up and hit F8
