I was in an accident a month and a half ago. I had to have the entire front of my car replaced and repainted. It's a brand new car, I bought it in January. The paint on the front of the car doesn't match the color on the rest of the car exactly, plus it's not as shiny. I usually wax my car pretty frequently, so could that have something to do with it? Will the color blend better once the car is waxed a few times?

I have a 1999 Maxima, according to kbb it's worth about $3,200. I just got through putting about $1,000 into repairs, but I know it's going to need more work very soon. The check engine light is on, one estimate is it needs new fuel injectors, the ABS light goes on and off, air bag light is on, and there is an electrical short somewhere.

Good news is - drives good, new battery, newish tires, newish brakes.

Would you invest in fixing it or am I just wasting my money?

2006 Ford Escape. When at speeds of 45 miles or more the transmission shutters. Dealer told us to have the fluid drained 2 to 3 times, between each time put 300 miles on it, to see if that stop the shutter. Otherwise needs a diagnostic test on the transmission. Does this sound right to anyone??? Warranty is up in 10,000 miles I want to make sure it is fixed before then.

My ignition of my car locked up the day before yesterday. Some told me I could spray some WD-40 down there but I'm scared it will break it. Is there anything I can do besides paying someone to repair the tumbler?

OK I know very little about cars, but I spent time with some friends who fixed our cars often and taught me, so i understand some things.
If the muffler were cracked, would I get the noise from the back, from the whole car?
Wouldn't the noise be loudest near the problem in the system?

on the passenger side (outside). It starts when you step on the gas. We have recently had the oil change, a tune up, the pvc joint fixed, the brakes done, and abs light fixed. We have already had the pully belt and the idle arm pullys replaced and we still have the noise.
When the abs wasn't working we didn't have the noise. When the guy serviced it he reconnected the wires and the light went out.
They are trying to tell us that the pully belt needs to "set in" and it will stop. That doesn't sound right to me.
HELP!!!!!!
Serious answers only please.

I posted a question earlier about my battery being drained but the battery & alternator is good. One answer was go to this website: http://www.wikihow.com/Find-a-Parasitic-Battery-Drain and I did exactly what it said & found that the light went out when I unplugged the fuse #7 named skim/hoodlp but the owners manual says interior lamp. What exactly should my next step be? What do I need to replace. Thank you so much. (2000 Jeep Cherokee)

I was in a very near accident Friday night on a major interstate. I was going between 75-80 MPH in a 2005 Nissan Altima when I was cut off by a slow moving truck who suddenly stopped - in less than 30 seconds I went from 75-80 MPH to a sudden stop. My car turned itself off during this time and the brakes locked up. I managed to roll off the highway through 3 lanes of traffic where once I put my car into park and sat for a moment I was able to restart the car. Is it normal for a car with an automatic transmission to stall like this when you suddenly stop? Also, should the brakes have locked or is that just a result of the car stalling?

It is a 92 Grand Am and I have had some problems in cooler weather (it isn't even cold yet!) starting my car. I might have to turn the key back wait an try again maybe 6-7 times to get it to start sometimes. (other times even when it is cold outside , it fires right up)

Today, I got in the car and I had to drive it cold. I had to pick up my daughter from school. Well, it just shut off when I was driving in a straight line! I mean, I wasn't even turning a corner and there was no sputtering or anything! It was just there and then gone! It did this 3 times on the way to the school and once I got to the school, it didn't give me any more trouble on the way back. What's wrong with my car? (besides being old) Is there a way to fix this? (besides stuffing a rag in the gas tank and lighting it?)

I have a front wheel drive 1994 Mitsubishi eclipse, that i want to convert to rear wheel drive. I also race these cars on dirt track (Eclipse/lasers/talons)

i have a theory. If i took the rear axle out of an all wheel drive 1994 Eclipse, and put it in my car, braced the frame, and welded everything secure, technically, if i did the work myself, could i do this fairly cheap? i can always get a custom drive shaft, if the exhaust needs moved, no problem was putting a dual one on anyways... any oppinions?

I bought a cheap car to fix. It does not start, but it turnsover. I found that the camshaft was bent so I'll need a new one.
Does anyone know if that was the only problem in starting? I checked the starter relay and that fine.

Is it worth fixing or should I just get a whole new engine?

I am using 1997 Grand. Lately I have difficulty to start the engine in the morning or when the engine is cold. When i try to switch on, the fuel and battery meter did not goes up, fuel indicator is "ON" indicating no fuel in the tank even I have full tank. I need to crank , sometime as much as 20 crank before the meter goes up. Sometime I can only get the engine to start after more than 20 crank. Very frustrating. Could it be the PCM is the caused of it. But when the engine has started, the engine runs normal. When the engine temperature is hot, everything is normal, the engine can be started with 1 crank and all indicators are normal when I switch on the engine. For your info, the battery is new, the starter is in good condition, the spark plug is new, both oil & fuel filter is new.
