Does the vehicle feel like it shifts OK with the engine off? If it does, put it in 4th gear and try starting it up with the clutch pushed in. I take it for granted the clutch pedal feels normal. If the vehicle tries to move or won' start could be a bad clutch, warped pressure plate, or bad clutch master cylinder. If shifting is impossible with the engine off could be a broken shift fork in the trans. If hydraulic fluid is under the slave cylinder boot you probably have air in the system. Look for signs of fluid inside the vehicle by the clutch pedal push rod boot going into the clutch master cylinder. Good luck BAX

make sure the slave cylinder is operating properly to ensure the clutch is allowing proper movement to be able to place your car into gear
