Ok, so I'm tired of this piece of .... Right now, it's at the garage and even THEY can't figure it out. MAYBE, just MAYBE someone out there can help me. 2001 Blazer LS, 2-dr, 5-spd. So, the main problem is that it's bucking and jerking...on acceleration and deceleration. Dies intermittantly. Check engine light is on. Temperature gauge see-saws. We've replaced and replaced and run scans, to no avail. Codes are P1336 (CKP relearn needed) and MISFIRE.
What's been done:
new distributor
new plugs and wires
new crankshaft sensor
new radiator
new ECM (engine computer)
PASSLOCK has been relearned
CKP has been relearned
fuel pressure is correct

Will run for about 10 good minutes, then starts bucking and jerking again. Then eventually dies, check engine light on for a while, off for a while and fuel gauge takes FOREVER to show correct fuel quantity. You should also know that one time while the jerking was going on, hubby turned off & on going down road and it quit jerk

I have a 1990 toyota celica. The engine was replaced with a 2.2 l from a 93 celica. Ever since then when you shift into 5th gear it pops out. When its in gear it works fine, no noises, but you have to hold it in. Is this because of the new engine was installed wrong, or at least hooked to the tranny wrong? What should i do about this?

I sanded down my tailights to get the gunk off of them and got them all cleaned up. I put some clear coat on them to get them all nice and shiny, but I ended up with terrible runs in the clearcoat. How can I get them out, preferrably not using sand paper..

I went to an autoshop and the clerk told me that I can add seafoam into the air intake hose (the large, acordian like hose that connects from my air filter box to my engine). Is this true? Do I absolutely have to use the vacumn line and if so, where is it? I have a 2000 Chevy Prizm.

I have also heard that you can add the whole can at a time but I am nervose about this. I think it sounds smarter to add half a can at a time and repeat the whole procedure a second time on with the rest of the can.

I was trying to get the radiator plug so i can change my coolant. However, the nuts on the plastic guard look rusty and keep slipping on my socket wrench. Do i need to remove the guard to get to the drain? Also, how can i loosen up these rusted nuts?

It is making a whistling noise.
It says on the vacuum itself that if there is a whistling noise, then that means that there is a vacuum.
It also says to check the manual, which I have lost.
Does anyone know what to do?

I got in an accident so when my dad got it fixed the only parts available were green, so my car is maroon except for the fender and the hood. I want to paint it a dark blue but I'm not sure how much it will cost.

I have a 1995 Buick Roadmaster (V8) and it's been giving me crazy fits! We have replaced all of the following: fuel pump, ignition switch, battery & cables, radiator, distributor cap and spark plugs, and we are still having the problem. It will drive fine for a while and then it dies when you give it gas. Today it happened again and the engine just died when I was driving - and this time it wouldn't even turn back over. We had to call a tow truck to take it back to my house. I still have power from the battery because I have radio, blinkers, etc. If I have replaced all the stuff listed above, WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE? Help!

I have a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. I have replaced the belts and there is still a very loud, annoying, squeaky noise coming from the Alternator Pulley. It stops when I spray it with WD40, but it keeps returning. What is wrong and what can I do?

So, have they? And by newer cars, I mean 2004 and up.

I remember having a 1994 Ford Explorer and it just sucked so much. I invested more than $1500 in repairs in just 8 months. Ridiculous. I kept having so much trouble with it, I just went in and bought a 1996 Honda Accord. The Accord has been the best car I've ever driven and I love it!

So have American cars gotten any better? I sure as hell will never buy another Ford, unless it's a ford mustang, but other than that, I hate Fords.

What about Chevy's? I'm looking at the newer Chevy Impala looks very impressive.

Hope to get some answers.

I have heard that putting some automatic transmission fluid in a full tank of gas will help clean the valves, and fuel injectors. Does this work, or is it a bad idea. Don't tell me what you think, just what you know from real life data. Thanks. :)

I just got an $800 estimate for a brake job...looks like my rotors need replacing, not just the pads. How often will a mechanic make something like this up (i.e. maybe just the pads need replacing and he's lying) and should i get a second opinion before i let him do it? Thanks.

I am going to change the front shock stuts on my 1995 Chevrolet Corsica. Does this task really require a front end alignment after putting them on? Can it wait a couple of weeks, because after next payday I am going to change the front CV Joints also, does that job require a front end ailignment?

The car is a 1999 Chysler Cirrus. All the parking lights and dash lights, and EVERYTHING else is working. I swapped out the fuse and the Brake Lights were still out. I changed all the bulbs so i know they are good. Again Everything seems to work except for the brake lights being out. Any help?

i wanted to know if you/he found the problem or if any one has had the same and resolved it, ive brought a new starter motor a ignition barrel and the black box bolted to the side of the battery cover that apparently controls the remote live feed none of these have worked please give me advice pleaseeee

I have a 89 Buick Regal and it doesn't blow out any air no matter how high the setting is. It makes the noises that it normally would when you put the settings on high (loud air noise) but nothing comes out.

The air system has push buttons and all the lights come on no problem.

Does anyone know what this could be and would it be a simple fix or an expensive one?

Will this problem also not help with cooling down the engine?

I have a 1996 2.4L Pontiac Sunfire GT. It does this weird thing when I start it for the first time in the morning where it doesn't idle right. It will rev and then slow down, in quick succession, over and over again. Sometimes if I turn it off and start it again, and it will stop. Other times I have to start it and turn it off several times. I'm not sure if it's just because it's cold or what, because it won't do it again the rest of the day. Help!

Ok is this a reasonable charge? I expected the bill to not go over 100$ but they stated they need to flush the system and put new antifreeze in, which is something i needed done anyways.
