I sanded down my tailights to get the gunk off of them and got them all cleaned up. I put some clear coat on them to get them all nice and shiny, but I ended up with terrible runs in the clearcoat. How can I get them out, preferrably not using sand paper..

Sorry - sandpaper is your answer. And then you need to buff it out.

Sanding my be your best bet. The next time you try this, don't spray the coats of paint too think. Use lighter coats, don't try and cover it all with one coat.

I would be careful using solvents to remove the runs, you could destroy the tail lights.

good luck.

i have dun this before if the clear is good and dry drag a razor blade horizontal to the run until it is gone you mite mess up but it is worth a shot.
