Ok is this a reasonable charge? I expected the bill to not go over 100$ but they stated they need to flush the system and put new antifreeze in, which is something i needed done anyways.

i took it to goodyear. i think they are doing a power flush not just draining it and refilling but actually hooking it up to a machine.

sounds a little high but not over high
sounds like parts and supplies are $50 and the labor is $100
that may be a miminum charge at some shops
our local dealer charge is $95 per hour and it will take that hour to do the job

That sounds reasonable to me, especially if they're actually hooking your engine up to a coolant flushing machine instead of just draining and refilling the radiator as shown in this Prestone coolant change video. If it's been over 3 years since your coolant was changed, and it doesn't look like the color of the original coolant anymore, then a full thorough flush using a professional machine is needed.

NEVER go to goodyear they rip off people who know nothing of cars mostly women and old folk they wanted to charge my sister $1800 just to change a power steering pump and i also used to work there so trust me. and if you buy the part from a shop its always always gonna be more than if you bought it yourself so next time just buy the part and take it to the shop that way you only pay a labor cost

Sounds about right, parts labor, use of the flush machine, little bit of profit. Its a reasonable price.

there is a old invention called a telephone...that device and a phone book allows a person to call many repair shops to get an idea of prices...i love my computer but its not a substitute for common sense....150 is high but it is NOT a rip off...those who say diy for 10 dollars are nuts...

You should have got a mechanic do it on the cheap. You will know next time.It also a good idea to ask for an estimation before they carry out any repairs.

$150 sounds a bit much. Call around and tell other servicers the quote you got! If they want your business they'll quote you a better price! $25 to get your nails done....that's getting screwed!!

screwed.

thermostat - 10.00 at the most...

flushing and refilling - about 10 minutes.

This is way overcharged - where did they get you at?

Jiffy Lube? -

The cost at my shop:

radiator flush and refill 40.00
thermostat 10.00 - at the worst -
.30 minutes labor to install about any thermostat @ 75.00 Hr.

So yea your well under 100.00 for this service at my shop.
