i just bought a new standard car and at first four clicks with the hand break was good enough to keep it from rolling, because unfortanenatly for me my drive way is so steep. so i notice it was getting less tight when i pulled the hand brake up. today i got in my car and it started rolling so yea i was pretty lucky it happened then. now i have to make it much tighter to keep it from rolling. What is causing this, is it normal, and is it bad?

My car seems like it shakes/vibrates slightly when I drive on a smooth road. It's hardly noticeable (sometimes completely unnoticeable) on roads that are not so smooth though. It also makes a strange rythmic vibration and buzzing sound when I'm cruising on the highway at 65 or 70 mph. It vibrates for about 2 seconds and then stops for 2 seconds, then it does it again over and over. I have 2 sets of wheels for the car and it seems that the vibrating is worse with the 18" wheels than with the 16" wheels on it. I took it to a mechanic and he said he couldn't see anything wrong with the car. What's going on?

when i put my car in drive it has white smoke coming from the tailpipe. It also looks like there is water, but I can't be sure because it rained. The exhaust has a strong gas smell. It will smoke when in drive put not when in park and once the car warms up it stops. What could be the problem. I just had some other thing fixed and now this started up....

SO! My husband detected the reason my radio wouldn't work is because my fuse was broke. So we go get another one. He puts it in within 2 seconds it breaks again.. so he tries another one..same problem.

I'm guessing there's some sort of problem wiht the wiring.. is it at all possible to fix it yourself? My husband is VERY car savvy. If it isn't, how much would it be to replace whatever it is? Granted we have to drive to a different state in one week.

I have a Hyundai Accent, and for a while now it has been going downhill.

First of all, when I first start the car, say in the morning when it is chilly, it idles VERY hard and I can't get any gas at all to the engine until it warms up. And then, once I do get it going I can't push on the gas too hard or the engine will just completely die. Also, I can't get it to go very fast at all, nothing above 45 or so and it is a chore getting it up there.

I don't have much money, so I want to know what it is to see if I can get it fixed myself. Any ideas about what is wrong?

There was some tree sap on there and I couldnt get it off, so I scrubbed it off with the rough side of a kitchen sponge. D'oh! srcatched the %@#& out of it. Maybe it was some kind of protective coating that got scratched, I dont know. Is there a home remedy or a product to buy to rub on there and make it better? thanks
