No. You open your door, look on the end for the sticker that shows the information for tire pressure.

People make the mistake of looking on the side of the tire. Do not do this! Cars are different weights, models, etc. Your car takes a specific pressure for a specific type of tire that will fit your care.
Find that PSI number (typically on the door; front or passenger depening on model) and just go to a gas station. The hose will have a gage on it so that you can check.

Check it once a month if you can remember.

Most newer cars have a tire pressure light that comes on to warn you to check tire pressures. The tire or tires could be low due to colder weather this time of year or from a nail in the tire. Check the pressures on all five tires ( the spare usually has a sensor too!) A tire pressure of 30lbs. is what is needed as a general rule but on a SUV 35lbs is average. Look in your owners manual for exact pressures and read the part on tire warning light while at it. Some vehicles have a self-reseting light that goes out after setting the pressures and then driving for a couple of miles. Other vehicles have a reset button or procedure listed in the owners manual. If the spare tire was removed recently the position of the valve stem could be important also. If it's still on after checking the pressures and owners manual it's time for a trip to the dealer to find out if there's a recall or update for the system Good luck BAX.

Go to a gas station and put some air in the tire. The light will go off. Use some common sense.

Look at your Owners Manual. The year/make and model has a certain size, pressure.

Some might say look on the sidewall , but that can be misleading:
Don't look on the tire sidewall, as that number indicates the maximum inflation pressure--the highest tire pressure your tires should ever receive--and not the recommended pressure.

Invest $2.00 in a tire guage so you can check it yourself. You should be checking your tire pressures once a month irregardless. That is just good, basic maintenance 101.

you just check it. it's not hard. and fill up the tire that has lost pressure. when it gets cold outside tire pressure tends to get low. just fill them up to whatthe rating says on the tire
