I have a 2000 Mustang (v-6) Lately while driving my car just doesnt wanna go it starts slowing down by itself (i dont press the brake) I even put my foot all the way down on the gas pedal and nothing the speed just kept going down. Like a week ago I took it to get the fuel filter replaced and I got a new fuel pump like 2 years ago. Its been going on for a while but today just sucked! If anyone can plz give me a suggestion I know I have to take it to a mechanic but any ideas of what the problem is?

When is the last time you Removed and Cleaned the Throttle Body? Sounds like it's Clogged Up, Injectors Need Cleaning You're Replacing the Fuel Filter (Should be done every 8 to 14 Months). How are the RPMs when the car is in Neutral? 156,000+ the Transmission could be starting to go!

Jack up the front tires and make sure the tires spin free, The front calipers are a known problem for causing the car not to go.

But if your engine doesnt rev up or run properly then you may have a fuel or plug wire or spark plug bad if there is an engine miss.

How many miles is on the veh? 90,000 or so? and when was the last break job done?

If the above recommendations does't work I would check the key that you are using; some recent models cars would not accelerate if the chip if the key is defective or if a clone key is used.
