on the passenger side (outside). It starts when you step on the gas. We have recently had the oil change, a tune up, the pvc joint fixed, the brakes done, and abs light fixed. We have already had the pully belt and the idle arm pullys replaced and we still have the noise.
When the abs wasn't working we didn't have the noise. When the guy serviced it he reconnected the wires and the light went out.
They are trying to tell us that the pully belt needs to "set in" and it will stop. That doesn't sound right to me.
HELP!!!!!!
Serious answers only please.

I have a 2001 Montana. The best thing you can do is take it to a shop that has an electronic stethoscope. They can hook it to various places around each pulley and find out where the noise is the most defined. I had a chirping noise that turned out to be the water pump bearing that went bad and the impeller that pumps the fluid inside was scraping against the inside of the timing cover. You can try taking the belt off and spinning each pulley, but that may not help if it is happening under torque. My water pump sounded fine doing this, but under torque the pulley was actually shifting with the shaft and the impeller was making contact with the timing cover inside. Sometimes a new belt will squeak, especially if it was put on with greasy fingers. You can try rubbing a bar of soap on the belt while the van is running and see if the noise stops.

Engine Off; Run your hand over the belts, do and seem to be touching? ("Set In" is the wrong term, Realigned is what he is trying to say) Any Problems with the Power Steering? (Power Steering Pump is on the passengers side)

when my car made a chirp noise it only did it on start up and it turns out it was a crank pulley that needed to be replaced in my 06 fusion. Maybe this could be it?
