My 1997 Chevy blazer has just had a rebuilt tranny and when its cold it runs great for about 15-20 minutes, it shifts like new 1,2,3,4. smooth as glass. After it gets warm the check engine light comes on and I only have 2nd and 3rd and I have to shift to 2nd manually. now i have been told I need a transmission control solenoid, I have also been told that I just need to flash the computer and reset the codes, I have also been told it could also be a relay. Ok I'm sure all valid remedies I just need to know which is the most likely and still allows me to eat!!!
I posted this question b-4 just not in detail like this (sorry guys)
but I need help. If this helps it is a 2 door 4wd 4.3 ltr W/ac. some body save me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2004 Cavalier and bought it from a dealer about 3 months ago. Everything has been running perfect. Then during a traffic jam my car began to kick a little when I stepped on the gas and then stalled completely. I put the car in neutral and started it again without a problem.
The oil light went on when it stalled.
Anyone have any ideas?

Auto 90 camaro rs, swapped the FI 305 for a new carb 355(bored 30 over)(didn't have money for FI). All of the following symptoms have been getting worse and worse over the last 2-3 weeks. Car runs fine when started up for the first time of the day, but will only run well for about 10 min. and then, car constantly stalls out and dies, loss of power, oil pressure drops, I have a small oil leak(can't tell where it's coming from), I can rev the car in park perfectly fine, but will constantly stall in drive, when it starts to stall I can throw it in neutral and sometimes bring it out of the stall, but doesn't always want to rev up in neutral, when ever I make a sharp turn something under the hood squeaks(does it the most when turning left). Sometimes when the car dies it won't even try to start, fan will come on but thats it, after waiting about 10 min. it will start right up. I replaced fuel filter, all vacuum lines are connected as far as I can tell, pcv valve is connected.

I have a 2000 toyota celica that is starting to have problems cause the person that had it before me must not have taking very good care of it......the catilitic converter is bad, the air conditioning stop working, and the starter doesnt like to start the car without a fight...taking care of these problems could cost a bit of money that i dont have on hand.......

would you pay a **** load of money to have these and possibly other future problems fixed or get a car loan for a car that you know will be reliable for a long time?!?.....im talking like $266 a monthly payments over 2 to 3 thousand up front.......

my dad says to fix it cause i would lose money getting a new car and my mom says get a new car cause i cant afford for my car to be in the shop every other month....i NEED it for school and work.......

any suggestions?!?

1994 Nissan Pickup - automatic transmission
Gears change fine until glitch decides to kick in.
No pattern, seems to happen after roughly 15 min of city driving.
Once on freeway and up to speed, no problems changing gears.
When glitch occurs and won't change gears, turn ignition switch off & back on while still driving - gears change right away.
Various mechanics have no idea - please help.

The truck runs great as long as you 2 foot the beast, but won't hold idle with the air on and in gear. Will hold idle fine if either air is off or in park. It seems to be idling around 500-600 rpm which is too low (in gear and air on), but there is no adjustment to speed it up. Any ideas? Keep in mind it is running perfect so don't tell me it needs a tuneup.

i have a 1983 Dodge MiniRam 150 van. It says it only goes 85, I don't know how to independently check its speed, but with a sept , 1982 law in reguards to speedometers it must say 85. But do any of you know if it would go past that and how many mph its likely to go? Anyone dealt with this model before? I really dont need a slow mobile. Also anything i can do to improve its gas mileage at this point?

My wife was driving our '05' tahoe when a white smoke like substance came from the vent while the air cond. was on . we took the car to the shop and they said that she drove through a pocket of moisture. well it happened again for the second time today. be it leaves a white residue on the vent so it isn't moisture. Does any one know what this might be?

My 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4 quit working today. I was driving and and all of the sudden it just quit going. I have all of my forward gears aren't working, but reverse still does. I looked at my transmission and I can see it switching when I pull the lever(it is an automatic) but its like it doesn't catch. Anybody have any ideas of where to look or what could be wrong. I really don't want to take it to the shop if it is just something simple. THanks in advance

I have a 96 Ford Explorer, disc brake all tha way around. Somebody put powersteering fluid in the brake resivoir, now the brakes are f'd in tha a. It's been sitting for about a year and a half, Nothing seems to be leaking, master cylinder still pushes out fluid, but sucks a big air buble and raises the fluid level up and down when the brake is pressed down, none of the calipers seems to be leaking, i was thinkin of replacing the master cylinder and seeing if i could get away with just replacing it since none of the other seals seems to be leaking. You can still bleed the brake system, no prob. I don't know, if i am going to have to replace the whole brake system, can abody give me a detailed list of what im going to have to replace.
