I just clean my computer fan and man was it dust but the noise won't go away. My fan is usually very quiet but when I turn my computer it make a noise like the engine of a car starting (only last for a couple of section) then the noise stop. Does that mean I have to get a new fan.

Look again. (You can start the thing with the
case open. It won't bite.)
Sounds like you didn't get all the crud out, but
watch that fan on start-up. If the bearings are
shot, it will chatter at you until the airflow
stabilizes it.

You probably blew some dust into the sleeve bearing. If so, it is time to replace the fan. If you have less than a 300 watt power supply, you might want to take this opportunity to replace the power supply as a whole. It costs about $20 more but it would be a good investment.

Yeah, thats the fan in the power supply, sometimes when they get old and dirty they get noisy..... you can either replace the fan or the power supply which is alot easier, but more expensive.
