I have a 94 Chevy burban, my problem is that I keep having coolant fluid coming out of my thermostat, which I have changed along with radiator cap but I have not changed the whole housing unit on the thermostat. Machanic says that's it might be the head gasket but I have no water in my oil or white smoke coming out of my tail pipe. Just changed the water pump and he checked the radiator but still having the same problem. Would like to know what's causing the fluid to come out of my thermostat? Car does not over heat but I can smell the fluid from the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 95 ford taurus and whenever i make a sharp turn or go over a rough part in the road, the back axel makes a clunking noise, different people have told me different things thats its no big deal. When i was at firestone a couple months ago they never said anything about it. Its been going on for a while now. Im wondering what it is, and if it is something serious how come firestone never said anything to me about it?

I just purchased this car and it seemed to run fine until roughly 20 miles after. The car had poor low end power and started to sound like it was pinging. It then died on me on the highway and I was lucky enough to start it up again. It again died by my house and I have not been able to get it started. It feels like it wants to kick over and I here a "puff" sound after I stop trying to start the car.

The car has a MSD ignition box, MSD Coil, MSD wires, and NGK plugs all installed about 18months ago.

I connect a computer to it and it is reading a PO300 code, which I could have figured as I knew it was misfiring, pinging, etc.
Do I replace the coil 1st or could it be the optispark, etc?

The safety child locks was put on my doors. And was never taking off. Went to a wedding locked keys in the trunk so the back seat was taking out to get to the trunk, then put back together. Then the driving side back door would not open. That was in July 07.
Now in bad timing I don't understand I went down this Labor weekend I guess Kentucky not my state ha! ha! But needless to say the other back door did the same thing after we packed stuff in it for camping. Now no one can get in or out in these doors we change the fuse thats not it.You can hear it tring to open but it won't. We try playing with the locks for a while doesn't work.I've read the book the car came with doesn't give that much information.Just tring to safe money I don't have.I'm a girl and smart, very smart with and direction I can get.

Recently my old van was overheating and we discovered the rad was empty.....this was a shock to me because there was no leaks and the overflow was still full.....so my mechanic did a chemical test and said maybe the head gasket was leaking or cracked.... there would be engine emmisions in the rad and liquid a test tube would turn from blue to green.............. well it went a little bit murky greenish blue and he said yes I had a gasket leak...just starting.. and that it would cost 800 to 1000 to fix

but I dont have that kind of money right now........ and although it seems to be running a bit rough, it otherwise runs ok....no smoke or anything.......................

so....... any idea of how much time she has left?...and what I can do to prolong it?....and are 7 hr road trips out of the question?

I took my car into the shop because the brakes went out and it was leaking brake fluid on my front axis. They told me that my calipers had overextended and caused my master cylinder to leak brake fluid, and that my master cylinder is now dry. I need new pads, rotors, and calipers, but the mechanic is trying to convince me that I need to get my master cylinder replaced too. His reasoning is that if I have everything fixed except for the master cylinder, then if the seals are bad and it leaks fluid again, it will cause internal damage and I'll have to get EVERYTHING fixed again. I think he's just trying to make an extra buck out of me, but I'm no mechanic, so I don't know for sure if he's lying or not. Anyone out there have a second opinion?

Is this normal for new pads? Do they need to be bedded in for awhile, or did the mechanic screw something up?

I have electronic speed control fan adjustments. It had 4 settings, low-high. Problem is only the low and high adjustment buttons work. Is there a relay switch or fuse that can be replaced to fix the problem? Any ideas as to why it's not working and what can be done to fix it yourself without having to take it to a dealership or mechanic shop? I'm fairly mechanically inclined but like I said I do not know what's causing the two fan speed adjustments in the middle to not work.

Thanks

I have a 2003 Buick Century - I bought 6 spark plugs thinking 1 per cylinder... WELL - I opened the hood and saw 6 of the spark plug wires coming out of the distributor; 3 attach in the front of the engine block (normal and easily accessible) and the other 3 go way behind the block and literally out of reach. Is it possible it has just 3 plugs (2 per cylinder)? There's literally no way to change the 3 on the opposite side, if that's in fact where they are. This is really strange...any help would be appreciated.

I was driving my car (99 Saturn) and then all of a sudden I heard a clicking noise, the car started to slow down, all the lights on the dash lite up (oil, check engine etc) then I heard a loud noise like something broke and then there was white smoke ... I coasted to the side of the road and popped the hood - not too much smoke coming out - I checked the obvious things - water, oil and realized my oil was empty - I attempted to put oil in it and when I tried to start the car there was a loud screeching noise for a few tries - the screeching noise went away and the car sounds like it wants to start but it's not turning over - what could this be?

I have a '99 Jeep Cherokee with a 2.5L and a manual trans. Lately I've noticed that it isn't shifting as well as it used to. Sometimes it is hard to get into 1st and reverse but it drives fine. Also, when I'm driving, I can usually pull it out of 3rd or 4th gear without using the clutch (don't get me wrong, I don't drive like this). The car has 100,000 miles on it. The reason I am asking is because I will be going to college next year, and I was planning on keeping this car for a few more years, since I have no problems with it. But if the clutch is going to go soon I would rather sell it soon.

Thanks in advance
