will rims off a 1989 chevy suburban fit a 1998 chevy suburban?

all 2500 would be 8 lugs, so a 2500-1500 wouldnt work.

if the rims are the same amount of lugs, then they will fit.

It depends on if the suburban is 2wd or 4wd. Some had 5 hole, 6 hole or 8 hole wheels. Also 15 or 16 inch tires. If the 1989 has the same amount of holes as the 1998, it will work. Does the 1989 have 15" wheels? The 1998 I believe came with 16" wheels. Could use some more info.

It is a matter of preference, they are basically the same vehical the only difference is that the suburban is bigger & costs alot more to drive. My sister originally had a suburban but sold it because it had alot of issues & the cost of gas was even worse than she anticipated. She then bought a tahoe which she absolutely loves & hasn't had any problems with but that probably has alot to do with the previous owners. However, I do think the suburbans tend to have more problems for some reason? Anyway, I believe you can lay the back seats down flat in the tahoe so that u can have more cargo room & I would think that would be sufficiant but really only you can decide because it depends on what u want to put back there? Also, my fiances parents have a new tahoe & they love it, they go on road trips all time & never complain of needing more space. And you could always rent a $20 Uhaul for the rare occasions you need to haul something really big. Hope this helps :)

They might. If the bolt pattern is the same then they should fit. Why would you want rims off of an 89 Suburban though? I don't remember any good looking stock rims from the 80's.
