No it's not.
The weight of the oils should be the correct one for the vehicle, but that's all. Mixing them won't hurt anything.

While it may not do any damage, it isn't the best idea in the world. Every company has their own formulation for the additives which determine the viscosity of the oil. Some of these additives are really not 100% compatible with each other. Therefore, mixing different brands could (not necessarily Will) cause deterioration of the oil. However if you're in the middle of nowhere and have no choice, mixing brands is better than running the engine with a low oil level.

As long as the oil is in the viscosity range recommended by your car the brand really doesn't matter. There is a rating they do on oils and most major brands meet the oil standard put out by the car manufacturers. I have heard of issues mixing synthetic and regular oil. The detergent in the synthetic broke down the viscosity of the regular oil. Caused oil failure. Only thing can think of.

not at all! Some people even do this all the time, mixing different brands because some brands have different additive packages and they want a good mix. check out a site called "Bob is the oil guy" at http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ it has anything and everything you need to know about oil and additives!
