i usually try my best with power addition questions....but the honest answer on the 2.8 is take all that $$$ you would spend on it, save it up, and buy another car later. i would say just swap a v8 in the car, but that involved a trans swap too.
2nd the "enjoy the gas mileage" comment.
even a wheezed out 305 will make 50 horsepower more than a fresh 2.8.
save it up and then do one like mine.... :)

how about getting the motor with 8 cylinders thats probably the best place to start dont waist your time and money trying to squeeze an extra 20hp out of a 2.8

Just enjoy the good gas mileage.

That engine was not designed for power.

All you'll do if you start messing with it is screw it up.
