I have been having problem with my 1998 dodge dakota 5.2 V8 over heating. I relpaced the water pump, therma stat, all hoses, and flushed the radiator. And it still is overheating when driven. Help im stumped!

find a pyrometer and check the radiator. we have found a few at work where some spots in the rad would be 20,30 or even 40 degrees cooler. that would show no/low flow meaning the rad was getting plugged up. not very common but a possible problem.

Have you checked the fan? If it has an electric fan it is most likely controlled by a temp sensor switch mounted either on the radiator or the engine. Either the fan or the switch could be bad. If it is a mechanicl fan it should have clutch mechanism built into it which lets the fan idle, when the engine is cold. If the clutch is bad and not engaging when the engine heats up it will then overheat. Either type fan should make a noticeable noise, when it engages, as the engine temp rises.
