My oil light has begun coming on, but only when my car slows to an idle or stop, as soon as I begin to move, the light goes back off.

It is time for an oil change, but it has never done this before.

sometimes I can run errands for a few hours with no light, but after a few hours then the light will come on when the van idles.
It is a 2000 dodge caravan

I know its an Edlebrock thats it. I've heard that most are the same as far as setting the fuel mixture, but which of the two screws on the front of the carb are what, and how do I set them to make the car run first, then better?

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am and I have had to have the water outlet housing replaced 3 times since Febuary. Each time its replaced its always shredded to pieces. i wanted to know if something else may be causing my coolant leak. This last time I had the thermostat replaced as well. Just yesterday the low coolant light came on AGAIN. I don't know what to do now. Pls Help
Should I just get rid of the damn thing before something major happen

I recently went to look at a 2003 Beetle TDI to purchase. While doing my pre-drive inspection I checked the coolant overflow. I looked inside and noticed that the coolant was an orange/red with white bubbles on top. The coolant did not smell like fuel. However, at the neck of the coolant filler I found a goo the consistency of gelatin (before it dissolves in water), and mixed with it was what looked like small metal shavings.

Any ideas on what might be wrong?

I left my car's lights on two days ago and had to jump it from a kind passer-by. Since then, my battery light is on the dash, but only under 1000 rpm, if I rev up my engine the light turns off. This last day, the windows (electric) went up really slowly, but so far I haven't had any problems turning on my car.
I replaced my alternator about a year ago, so I'm thinking it might not be that, I'm thinking my battery has gone bad?
Any tips before I get it checked out?

hi i recently ran into someone's bumper on the back..
and i really couldnt pay for her damage yet but
i was wondering how much it would be woth?
there's no big damage and
only thing damaged is that her back bumper
was slightly dented in on the part where screws were
which is like maybe...size of 1/4 of penny
and little paints came off on the place where
plate number hit. would anyone give me basic info on the price? or at least an estimate?

So I took my car to AutoZone today and had them hook their computer thing up to my car to see what is wrong with it (the Check Engine & ETS Off lights are on) and the lady said the problem is my Oxygen Sensor. Well, lately since those lights came on, my AC has been throwing out warm air, and whenever I get out my hands smell like Freon or something, not sure..but it's coming from the vents. Could these problems be related? Or are they different?

the car is a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE

also, I just bought this car two weeks ago from a dealer (I'm paying payments) would he be responsible for paying and fixing these problems or would I? About how much should it cost? How long? Thank you

I need new tires for my car. I made an appointment a while ago, requesting Kumho 215 60 16 tires. Well now they've called me last minute to say that they don't have those tires, but they have Kumho Kr21's instead. Does anyone know if this tire should fit my vehicle right, or is this even a good tire?

Well I have a 67 mustang and the emergency brake doesn't work and when its in park it rolls, you can hear clicking and it puts up some resistance but isnt very hard to move when in park. Is this a very hard part to replace or expensive?

My car wasn't starting (just hearing the solenoid click). I thought it was the starter, so I pulled the started and bench tested it. The starter spun as is should, but the starter itself didn't move. I am under the assumption that the starter should have so much torque that it would kick around on the ground. I just got a spin. Is it possible to have a weak starter, or do they either work or don't work? And in the future if I'm testing mine, should it jump around (torque) on the ground during a test?
Thanks

I was charged $70 for a Saturn Battery Cable, plus labor and service fees for a total of $150.

My car wouldn't start because the positive battery cable was corroded by my battery. Which the mechanic said is a problem with Saturns. They were very nice and fast but when I got home and searched for battery cable on the Internet I saw them ranging from $6 to $80 on parts websites and it was $60 for 100 feet of it at one website.

i got an estimate to have 2 gas lines replaced from front to back and a muffler (which i already purchased) put on...they said after tax and everything it would be about 320usd...does this seem about right? or high? i only ask because the guy initially told me it would be 150usd for both lines, which means hes charging 150usd for my muffler???

normally i would have my fiance handle this, but hes deployed...thanks alot!

Lemon Law Buyback??? I bought a used car..... found THAT on the title AFTERwards....?
I bought a used car (2006 Pontiac GTO) about two months ago and JUST recently found out that the title has a lemon law/manufacturer buyback on it. It was a defect in the paint supposedly. It claims that the defect was remedied, then sold at auction.......

then over the course of the past year it has been retitled, but the lemon law thing still pops up........

SHOULD the dealer have told me about this in WRITING when I purchased the car, or have they gone against the law???? (I'm from Illinois)...... I've been reading here and there that if a car was previously bought back because of a defect/lemon law that it should be presented to you in writing at the time of sale if the car gets resold later. The dealership never told me ANYTHING!

Am I able to do something about this, like take the dealership to court or have them buy it back or something???

I just had my water pump replaced, is it normal that my fan would not come on as often. My macanic did not want to let me go yesterday with out that happening but it wasn't he told me to watch my gages and check to see if it has come on. The temp is normal but no fan yet. I do not drive very far from work and home. It is not leaking and in the past if I have run it I would stop my car in my carport and hear the fan. I want to know if I am freaking out for nothing? Excuse me for being a women but because he stated to watch out for it (the fan) it freaks me out!!! Help!
