No it mean the either the rotors weren't turned properly when you got the brake job or, more likely, semi-metallic pads were put on when you used to have ceramics ones. Sometimes the semi-metallic pads will never stop making noise.

You brake guys need to get up to speed. Squeaks from brakes are NOT caused from cheap pads, expensive pads, rotors or other stuff. Some pads or rotors may cause noise if not properly installed but they don't squeak. Squeaks are caused by vibration of parts that were not lubricated when installed. The caliper mounting pins and any metal parts that can contact other metal parts must be lubed at assembly. Don' t overdo it, no grease on pads or rotors. Try it on your next brake job.

Nope, it means they used cheap aftermarket pads, all those pads tend to squeal, plus they may not have turned the rotors, that will also cause squeaking

expensive pads squeal too...just put factory pads on my neon with a rotor turn done too. slight squeal in the mornings after the car has sat overnite. have the shop recheck to be safe.

Were they squeaking before? If so are you sure they changed them or did they bend the squealers back so they could make easy money?
