The electric power in my car is really bad....i don't know if its the alternator or battery, i don't want to remove the alternator to test it or buy a new battery if it's not the problem. When i run anything electrical ( even my turn signal i see a drop in my battery meter, every time the turning light flicks on my meter drops and then goes back up again and again) to me it seems like a battery problem because my alternator is still recharging it it seems like it just won't hold much of a charge.

The air conditioning compressor is not working in my car (so says my bf's uncle). It is a 1999 Chevy prism. Should I bother trying to get it fixed (expensive?) or should I just start looking at a new car?

I left my dome light on until it sucked the battery dry because i didnt use my car for more than 2 weeks.

Is this battery destroyed? Its new. Is it even worth trying to charge? If so will it take a long time?

The van has been running sluggish for some time, but it gave no indication that there was a problem coming. I drove it to a friends house, later tried to leave, and it seemed to try to fire and when I stopped the starter, it died. The second time it cranked for a couple seconds and It got a couple sputters as it fired. The third time I decided to press on the gas pedal in case it just needed a little more gas (normally all I have to do is just turn the key and it starts). This time it never even fired once, just cranked. I know that there is gas to the intake, but the fuel pump voltage goes away after a couple seconds after turning on the key, like it knows there is plenty of pressure. There is good spark and the timing appears OK. I have disconnected the battery and now all I get is crank. I'm not familiar with fuel injected v-6 engines, and how to troubleshoot any further. Is ther something more I can check before I have it towed? Is there a possiblity It's a clogged cat.converter?

The truck overheated, Blew the head gasket. Pulled motor apart, replaced all the gaskets, and noticed the head had a crack in it. So I replaced the head head today and when I put it on the block to bolt it down it rocks back and forth a little bit. It doesn't sit level on it. My worst fears would be a warped head but im unsure. Any helpful ideas?

The car is an 89 chevrolet cavalier 2.8 multi-port fuel injection system. It has a new fuel pump, new coil module, and is not getting fuel to run. Fuel pump pressure is good, when car sets for awhile it will try to crank. The car has went from running great to stalling while running down the road. The problem has gotten worse to the point where if it sets overnight, pressure seems to be getting enough vapor to allow the car to fire one time. Using started fluid or dumping fuel directly into the throttle control will make the car try to crank, but as soon as it runs out, it refuses to crank. So I've come to the conclusion that it's a fuel injector problem. I just need to know how to check and see if they're getting fire. Any other suggestions to what may be wrong are welcome.

The car started just fine, as always, after she backed out of the driveway it died, and it won't start. It turns over just fine, and sounds like it is just not getting the fuel. I don't know fuel injection engines like the old carborator ones, so I am at a loss. I let sit , still the same it starts to fire, then just turns over. Put the pedal to the floor in case it's flooded, and nothing. Wait a minute and try to start, it turns over and without the foot on the pedal "starts" to fire but acts like not getting fuel. Press foot on accelorator, and the same thing. Can someone give me suggestions on what the problem might be please. V6 Fuel Injected.

It's an automatic 93 honda civic. When the gears shift I can feel it jerk the body of the car back and it sort of gives me whip-lash. And sometimes when trying to get the car up to speed it acts like it just won't go. Like it stays at the low speed while I'm accelerating and then it finally jumps up to speed and the car jerks again. We've already changed the fuel filter, so that must not have been it. Is this a common issue with 93 honda civics? Could it be the transmission?
