I have an 1987 Toronado. She is a beauty and in great shape, yet I always come accross a problem. When I start it up in the morning, it'll fire up but die moments later. I've tried idling for 3-4 minutes, yet it'll either lose the charge in between, or lose its charge when I take it out of the park position. My battery seems fine, and it doesn't die once I get it going good. I can feel it lose its charge, and I press on the gas all the way and give it enough juice to keep it going. So, anybody know what the problem could be?

The noise starts at about 60 mph. I have already tried changing the half shaft and wheel bearing and the noise is still there. Rotating the tires have also been tried. It definitely seems to be coming from the driver's side. Could this be a transmission noise? Thank you!

I have a 2001 blazer X with a built 4.3l and a supercharger. I have had several problems w/ this truck even before modifuications started. Stalling mysteriously, dash lights comming and going, lights brightning and dimming, unusual wiper behavior, ecessive voltage drop from a simple turn signal. My currnent problem is now when accelerating. The vehical innitially accelerates hard then suddenly falls on its face. It has been built and tuned by a prfessional and has run strong in the past. I no longer have accesss to the shop where it was built as I now live 5 hours away in Mooresville NC. I've taken the truck to race shops in town but they have not been able to help or explain. The truck has not been tampred with since last tune and I have no engine light or codes.

The car I just bought sat outside for 6 months not running. The owner did, however charged the battery for 6 months. It ran great until I let the car sit for a week. Now it's not turning on. Is it time for a new battery? Thanks.

I went to back out of my driveway today and it felt like I hit something, the back right tire seemed to lock up. It will go backwards a few feet and then the tire will lock, if you press the gas, it feels like the brakes or emergency brake is locked on to it. So, by pressing the gas in reverse, the tire just slides. So I had it towed to a mechanic, they just called me and said that it is the transmission! I mean, 1st, it is a front wheel drive ford windstar, 2001. So why would they say transmission if the back tire locks up, 2nd, they said that the brakes are fine? What the hell should I do? I am not up for spending 4000$ on a transmission! Does this sound right that it would be the transmission? Any help would be great!

I have a 2004 Chevy Classic and one of the wheels makes a rubbing/clicking sound occasionally when breaking. We had new pads and rotors put on last August and actually just had them replaced under warranty due to the noise. The noise went away for about a week but now it is back. It only happens when breaking and it's the front passenger side. Any ideas on what it could be before we take it back to the shop? Thanks!

I was stopped at a stop light when out of nowhere there was a huge bang from the rear driver's side of my car. It was really loud! My car seems to be driving fine though. Any idea's as to what it could've been? I thought maybe something snapped but when I looked under the car everything looks okay.

I have a 305 that has smoke and compression problems, the rest of the truck is mint. I want to put in a 350 for more power and performance. Should I go with a long block and can the parts be used on the 350 from my 305? Like the oil pan, exhaust, valve covers, etc. or should I just by a turn key engine. Alos does anyone know what the horsepower would be for a typical 350 for this truck.
Thank you for your help.

It drives fine otherwise; actually, it's really zippy and fun! So I wouldn't mind (too much) putting a few hundred dollars into it, if that is about what replacing the CV joint will run.

I had a car towed in... the advisor told me the camshaft was welded to the journals.. I asked how it could still start up if it was welded, and the advisor said, "The car is running on only 3 cylinders instead of 6. The damage is in the left side where the camshaft locked up." He then told me they sent an oil sample because they don't think the oil was changed properly, and are waiting to hear back from Chrysler on whether or not to void the warranty. He said it's not their decision but Chrysler's decision.

Basically he said the engine is bad, and I'll need a new one. He says its taking so long because he hasn't heard back from Chrysler but he "overnighted" the sample today. Keep in mind my car has been in this shop for almost 2 weeks

Does this make sense? Or should I get a second opinion?

I have a 1994 Honda Accord. It is about 85 degrees out, pretty darn hot. When I turned my car off (I had been driving for about 25 minutes) I heard a fan-like noise. It turned off after about 3-4 minutes. Is this a normal function, or should I get it checked out?

Thanks for any input.

I own a 1995 BMW 318is, and i haven't had any service in awhile. Recently, I took it to a shop to get something fixed, and I asked them to change my oil since it's been awhile. They called back and said my car needed a "Major Service," that the oil filters were flithy, the brake fluids needed changing, new spark plugs, antifreeze, the works... They quoted me $600 to do it all. Is this a fair price? If not, how much does this usually cost?

My car was put into the shop two weeks ago.. first day they told me it needed new spark wires and would order parts and it would be ready the next day.. the next day they tell me I might need a new engine and that they needed to contact the dealership about something.. I called yesterday and he said they were waiting on the dealership for something and then they would let me know.. it's two weeks now. I still haven't got a clear answer on what is wrong with the car.

Is there anyway I can say nevermind and get it towed somewhere else? Or what do I do?
