I have a 2004 Chevy Classic and one of the wheels makes a rubbing/clicking sound occasionally when breaking. We had new pads and rotors put on last August and actually just had them replaced under warranty due to the noise. The noise went away for about a week but now it is back. It only happens when breaking and it's the front passenger side. Any ideas on what it could be before we take it back to the shop? Thanks!

Make sure the calipers are adjusted correctly. Check the bearings. On a lift try moving the wheel in and out, if it moves even a little it could be the ball bearings.

If the car has hubcaps, pull them off and see if the noise goes away. If not I would look for slop in the caliper mount.

Sounds like a cracked rotor.
Good thing you got the warranty.
