Loud bang from rear driver's side.?

I was stopped at a stop light when out of nowhere there was a huge bang from the rear driver's side of my car. It was really loud! My car seems to be driving fine though. Any idea's as to what it could've been? I thought maybe something snapped but when I looked under the car everything looks okay.

sounds like a back-fire... that's usually where the muffler/tail pipe is - some sort of combustion / ventilation problem?

Sounds like it could have backfired, but I am not sure.

Look for a bullet hole.
