The car I just bought sat outside for 6 months not running. The owner did, however charged the battery for 6 months. It ran great until I let the car sit for a week. Now it's not turning on. Is it time for a new battery? Thanks.

when u let a car sit for so long, disconnect the battery, try cleaning the connection with a wire brush, fill the battery with water(if applicable)usually when a battery dies completely,it will never charge the same,on like 70% even less everytime it dies.

Top up battery water and then try getting it charged from a powerpoint or at the battery shop. Then get it checked. most second hand batteries which are sold are charged like this for two day and usually last for 3-4 months with care

Most likely yes. Take the car in to auto zone and have the battery tested for free. It is bad to let the car sit for long periods of time. It is harder on them than running them. good luck with the car.

Get the batter checked and recharged. also check for battery corrosion. if this works but keeps happening check the alternator. if it is charging fine then you need a new battery. however if none of this works and you have no power no were, try getting a new solenoid. one of these things should fix you right up.

new battery and check the alternator it could be bad or not giving enough of a recharge for the battery, take it to a auto parts store like auto-zone they can check your battery and alternator

well go to advance auto and have them check it for free. if its dead they will install a new one for you. their battery prices are competitive. so sorry to hear about the loss of your battery. i always got a charge out of seeing it with you.
