My parents recently bought me a 2007 Honda Accord with a manual transmission. How much would it cost to replace it with an automatic one and how can I go about changing it?

why mess with it? it's an 07. go trade it back to the dealer for an automatic then. Stick gets better gas mileage. Ladies are more impressed anyways

I'll second what James said, go with the stick, you can get better mpg, better acceleration, better reliability, better control. All of Europe/Asia/South America can drive a stick, you can figure it out.

I've done a few tranny swaps (in the middle of one right now on a Saturn) and it has ALWAYS been from Auto to Manual, I would never ever consider going the other way.

it incredibly is not an hardship-free exchange. no longer basically do you desire the transmission yet you could desire to interchange the brake pedal (the pedal on the computerized is basically too super, no room for the grasp pedal), installation the grasp pedal and grasp cylinder, exchange out the middle console to the single featuring the universal transmission, replace the computing device, and in all probability replace the 0.5 shafts. Getting it executed professionally could desire to certainly exceed $6,000, and you will nevertheless have a bastard vehicle. it may value a techniques much less to easily sell what you have and purchase what you desire.
