I inherited a 67 Ford Truck from my dad. The motor is not orginal, it came stock with a 352. He always told me it had a 302 engine in it, but i was reading an article in a 4x4 magazine and it described a 351W (6 valve cover bolts, upper radiator hose and thermostat, enters the intake horizonatally). Thats what my motor looks like. Are there any other ways to tell them apart from the outside? I just want to make sure what motor I have.

My car has leather seats. It used to have a nice new leather smell but it faded in a few years. How can I get a "new leather" smell back using something like a freshener? Like the leather you smell in a Caddy or something. I've tried the "leather" tree air freshener but its smells like old vintage leather.

I was told to clean the windshield wipers with a cotton & alcohol, and that it would eliminate the water-streaks on the windshield as they are operating.

I have done this, and they're still leaving continous streaks as they go back and forth.

I can change them, but I hate doing that.. I can never get it right! Is there some other home-made remedy for a sure-fix?

I have a 1991 Grand Am 2.5, The car died last night and wouldn't restart on the side of the road, Last week I had the power steering pump peplace, then we replaced the battery, before that we put in a new alternatior. After the power steering pump was fixed the battery light came thus the other repairs, I was wondering if this had anything to do with what happened. The oil has been changed on a regular basis. what could have caused this? The Mechanic called me this morning and said that they found broken pices, all of the major components work on diffrent belts not just one(3 total)

I have put in a new radiator(it was leaking) and new thermostat. But the car still over heats. There is a noise coming from around the belt that sounds like bearing is going out. The temp has never gotten into the red and the car cools down when cruising. I have also made sure both fans and relays are ok. I just thought a water pump is eith good or bad. Any input? Water pump?

I drive a '99 Acura TL. Lately it will just shut off while driving. it used to start back up auotmatically. It doesn't do that now, but if i wait a few seconds and turn the key it will start right back up. Also sometimes when i first start the car it will die real quick unless i get on the gas fast enough. I'm going to take it in but haven't had a chance yet. what could be wrong with it?
thanks

My car has been lowered since 1997 and I'm riding on orginal struts. Past 5 years every now and then a squeaking noise would be heard from left front wheel area. It'd go away aftera few days and not appear for around 6 months or so. Recently the noise wouldnt go away and the mechanic said it was the bushings rubbing together and that I had to replace the upper control arm on that side, which i did. Noise went away for about a month and came back. The shop tightened everything in that same area and noise went away for a couple days and now it's back. The shop said the I need to replace thes struts b/c there's bushings in there that might be rubbing and making the noise. The noise sounds like someone jumping on an old spring mattress, only louder. Every tiny bump in the road causes it to make that noise. I already spent over $300 on replacing the upper control arm, but that's not even the problem. Any ideas so that I dont end up buying more uneccesary parts?
