Hello,
I own a 1994 Olds Bravada with the 4.3L and CPI. It turned over 90,000 miles last month and it has started to bog and stumble. I have been doing allot or research but would like an opinion of a good mechanic. Since it began I changed the fuel filter and noticed no improvements. It will stumble at take off and be fine until I reach my cruising speed (65MPH) after that it if I release the gas peddle, slow down a bit and press it again the stumbling comes back. I have read about faulty spider injectors and a bad fuel regulator. I would like some feedback if you have experienced this before I dismantle my system.
Thanks

Drove to job (72 miles) everything fine ,got back in truck that afternoon, seemed like a dead miss, stopped at Advance Auto, they tested said it was EGR valve, mechanic replaced this and it's still missing on #5 cyl., ran compression test, 3 cylinders including #5 were 71%,the rest are 75%, replaced all spark plugs, but no improvement, please help, could this be a failed power pac at that cyl. or maybe a injector, i just don't know with these newer vehicles, used to working on the 1975 and before models, also this is a 5.7 liter V8, went back to Advance Auto and it shows multiple misfires on their tester

I just bought an '89 Mercury Sable. with a pinhole leak in the heater core. Now I called a mechanic and he said roughly 600 but i can't afford that. Is there any other way to get around paying that much to stop it from steaming up my car!?

The guy that I talked to said an option was to get some "Stop leak" and put that into the radiator, But that runs the risk of loosing my heat entirely....

I need to buy new tires and have no clue as to which ones (if any) are better than the others. My choices seem to be between Yokohama, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Dunlop, Goodyear and Michelin. I drive a Pontiac G6 GT. Any opinions??

car has been sitting up for a couple of months, but was starting fine. now it acts like it wants to start on first try but doesn't fully catch on. after that motor just turns over. it has plenty of gas in the tank. before this it had problems running hot. i took loose the heater core hoses to check the flow and the distributor was sitting under the flow of water. could this be the problem?

I have a 1993 Pontiac Transport van, and I can't get the gas thing off. On the side of my seat there is a lever to open up the gas latch (so that no one can syphon). However, everytime i pull the lever, it won't even move. Any suggestions as to how i can fix it as soon as possible without going to a mechanic? I looked at the manual, and it doesn't offer any suggestions. I just want to put some damn gas into it haha

I went in for inspection 2 weeks back and the guy told me Id need new back brakes soon and told me they were getting close and "they are about a 3". What does this mean? I know if I let it go Ill be looking at a few hundred to get fixed so I am going to be getting it done in about 2-3 weeks. How much time do I have if my brakes are a "3"? I drive probably 10 miles tops a day

When the heater on my Nissan is set at high and switched on with the re-circulating button depressed, the temperature needle drops from normal operating temp to cold within a few minutes. When the air flow is diverted to the windshield for defrosting with the heater still on high, the re-circulating button automatically deactivates bringing in all the bitterly cold air. I can’t seem to control the heat while defrosting the windshield at the same time. I use the same setting in my other car and it works fine – warm interior and clear windshield. Could this be a thermostat issue? Thanks.

MY AC Delco car battery seems to work fine to start my car, but there is a "window" that shows if the battery is adequately charged. Mine shows black, not red, even though the car is used regularly and has not been discharged by leaving the lights on. The mechanic at our gas station declared that this means the battery is not good and needs to be replaced. If so, I will do it. But is that a correct statement?
