I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla that needs struts. What can you suggest for what to buy. None of the auto part stores or garages are any help. They want me to buy other parts, too. Is there other parts I should buy besides the struts?

I 've been trying for 2 hours to put it on but I can't seem to line up the screws in the holes. The screws that came with the kit they're to short it seems. I've even tried some other screws and they didin't work either. Every time , I think it's lined up ready to screw in the hole, it falls or something.So if anyone has an easier method to getting it on correctly Please let me know. I'm going by the "so called directions" .(They suck. Help me.

I have looked at some websites, but all tell you to turn key to position 1, until LED on dash lights up etc etc. My car does not have LED light on dash. Can anyone tell me another way of resetting the remote? TA

It has happened a couple of times, this morning it started then cut out as i pressed the accelorater. Then it will not start at all. I have changed the battery as i was told it might be a faulty cell.
If I bump start it it goes perfectly and then will start after letting the engine run for a few mins.

The dipstick shows a level for 80*C so I assume the oil must be hot before checking the level.

I got up this morning for work and the truck wouldnt even turn over. The key goes in the ignition, all the interior lights kick off, and the theft light comes on. What should I do?? Lemon law?? Am i freaking out??!!

I've been hearing like a hollow knocking noise for about 3 weeks now,sounds like it comes from the back of the car behind the drivers side.I've had the bearings checked & exhaust couple of days ago.Now since yesterday when I pull away there's like a clonk noise sounding like it comes from the back passenger wheel area (doesn't always happen).The car is a clio automatic,now I know it groans when you go to pull away coz that's what automatics do,but i've never heard it clonk.What could these be & do you think they are related? Thanks!!!!

I have recently got a 2000 Chev Blazer. It has an AstroStart car starter on it, and power locks in it, although they are not hooked up to work with the starter remote. When I push the start button on the remote, the lights flash as they should, and I can hear a clicking noise from under the hood, but the starter doesn't kick in to start it. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be, and if so, where do I locate the starting unit or wiring for it on this truck

I bought a 1988 ford taurus wagon yesterday, and while driving it today, it ceased to go forward. It will now only go in reverse! Is it possible that the transmission isn't blown, or is this it?? It was slipping a little right before it happened. Any suggestions, or know where to get a good, low priced used transmission??

I took my truck 4-wheeling and got water in my oil. On the way home the oil pressure dropped to 0 and my oil light came on. The first thing I thought was the oil pump was bad. So I changed it 2 times with new oil pumps both times and they both have 40-50 lbs. oil pressure when you first crank it up. But when it gets hot the oil pressure drops and the oil light comes on. Any one have any ideas on what my problem could be? I have a 97' Dodge ram truck with a 318.

my nan has a saxo 97/98 and when she turns the key in the ignition all hell breaks loose...the fuel gauge goes west and a few other things happen.. will it be a relay or a fuse somewhere ?? please help

1998 VW Golf. just under 100k on the clock. The last time brake pads, discs and brake fluid were changed was in june 2004. Clock was on about 73k then. This morning the first 3 times I braked I heard a scraping noise. I didn't hear it again and was driving for about 20 minutes. I don't know if the noise was because of the cold weather or something like that because the noise went away. Should I change my pads and if yes can I change just my pads or should I get discs and fluid changed too?

So, I have this magor oil leak all of a sudden out of no where! I mean bad, I have not had a chance to go get an oil change which I am over due for, so I have at ;least made sure that I have been putting oil in it. Anyway, the other day my cousin said that it seems that there is oil leaking from the filter. So, I called the shop and they said that the filter must not be screwed on all of the way. Yaddaayada. Anyway, so I have an appointment for monday to get an oil change. Today I get in my car to go to work, mind you last nihgt it was fine, and it seems to be idling heavy, almost like the engine is knocking. Also the Check engine light is FLASHING! I got a ride to work where everyone assured me that I must just be out of oil. However, when I got home, I checked the oil level, and it's fine. WHAT THE HELL COULD BE WRONG WITH MY CAR YOU GUYS???!!! SOME one please give me some ideas.

Battery checked okay, alternator checked okay, but battery still went dead in two days. Got new battery, went dead in three days. Alternator checked okay again. All electrical systems seem to work okay (all lights, horn, radio, blowers, etc). No visible short circuits, but something has to be shorting out. Will take it to an expert for repairs if necessary, but I'd like to know what is wrong before I do that. Anything else I should check?
