A friend of mine parks his car on the street. A couple of nights ago, a watermain broke and coated his car in water. It's really cold here so it froze quickly and just began piling up. Now his car is covered in about a half-inch of ice. Including the wheels which are stuck in about two to three inches.
It looks like a glazed donut.
I suggested (after I stopped laughing) he wait until spring thaw.
Any other ideas? Besides ones involving a blowtorch or a hairdryer and a 300 ft. extension cord?

I have a 98 Taurus Se and rove it from a friends house to the grocery store(10 minute drive) and it ran fine. Came out of the grocery store and the car could barely stay running. It is barely idling....very choppy and well below 1000...normally it idles at almost 2000. I drove it home as best I could...if I would let off the gas it would almost die again...but if I keep giving it gas it stays running somewhat....
What does it sound like is the problem? TPS?

I have a 1997 Plymouth Neon. When I come to a complete stop the RPMs go down to 500 then most of the time it stutters then goes back up to 1000 RPMs. Sometimes it will die. If I give it gas while in park it helps it go back up or not stop. IT DOES NOT STALL ALL THE TIME. I had a tune up done to it, O2 sensor replaced, an oil leak fixed, and a fuel injection clean up done already. But it still doing this??? Anyone have any other ideas what could be causing it to idle rough????

Car is a 1992 Dodge Daytona. Drove it for 1.5 hours right after getting new battery. Then left it for 4 hours in a parking lot. Battery and alternator gauge in car look fine.

ok so i was looking on ebay and i see this think called a velocity tuner and another one called a vortex generator. now they say they help get better gas mileage and i was wondering if they really work. and there were also theese things called a magnetic ionizer that you put on your fuel line and it also says it adds gas mileage i was wondering if they would be work buying or is it just a load of bull? thanks
