Whatever you choose be extremely careful things get brittle when iced, use the spray on ice remover for windows, salt around the tires, do not use hot water anywhere near glass, the glass will shatter in a spider web pattern, u can put salt around the tires, not suggested for on the body, unless u take it straight to a car wash, there will be a lot of ice build up in the rims which will throw the tires off balance while driving so your car will vibrate and shake like mad goin down the road, best possible thing you can do, is find a long hose and spray tap water all over the vehicle to spray it off, this will take a little while to do, but it is a lot safer then putting chemicals on the vehicle, once you do get inside the vehicle DON'T START IT, there may be ice build up under the hood as well, starting ur engine may cause the block to crack (worst thing to ever happen to a car) i wud suggest crawling under the car spraying the entire undercarriage with the hose and eventually u will have to start it, assuming the gas lines didnt freeze being that cold and most importantly, we all need to see the pic of that, so upload us all a pic or two of the frozen car and put it on ebaumsworld.com!

And waiting to spring is out of the question I presume. If the problem ISN't TRACTION and the tires move how come the car doesn't? One must cause the other unless the wheels are spinning and that is a traction issue. Obvious (if unpalatable) solutions: 1) Get a shovel, a pick and a friend or two. 2) Get some rock-salt - that will help melt the ice. So will some black tarp on the ice (black plastic) if the sun is out now. 3) Basic tow cables and a friend with a truck.. (go slow and do it right or you will end up with only a PART of the car free of the snow) 4) Got a AAA card? That may be the cheapest and best solution for this and other problems. good luck.... .

go at it with a sledge hammer hahaahhaa get some portable heaters and place them around the car if you can or get into the car thats frozen and put it in nuetral and pull it into the sun. What ever you do DO NOT USE SALT this rots the body and will cause rust maybe not right now but 5 years down the road it will be a rotbox.

Hot water on the handles if you can't get in and then de-icer for the lock. Hot water for the wheels and then salt, but it will take some time doing that. It will work though- i got iced in about 3 weeks ago and this did the trick. I was really late for work.

lol,,id give a 100 bucks to have seen his face when he seen his car,all jokes aside this may be a hard thing to do especially if its that cold, you cant break it away because you run the risk of damaging the car,and salt might help melt it away from the wheels of it,if he could manage to get a door open, and get it started the heat from the car running would melt it,,you might be able to help him get a door open, and if it will start, this would be the only way i know of to do this,id say he,s pretty pissed off right now,i cant blame him,but this is going to be a hard thing to do,especially if it stays below freezing there, good luck with it ,he has a real challenge on his hands now,i hope he gets it out though, good luck.

be careful --things break easier when that cold--don't pound on any windows to get ice off-use an ice remover you buy at the store--for tires you CAN POUND on the rubber to break away the ice-use a hammer and hit even on the face of tires to loosen them from the road, then use ice remover--or use hot water if you can put a gallon of HOT on each tire -inside of 2 minutes do all 4 tires and be ready to drive away --you may have to rock it from drive to reverse gently to get it to move--if it WON'T go -repeat with HOTTER water on the tires

start his car up and let it run with the heater on full blast. After a couple of hours something should give.
