what is the order on the distriber cap for a 1990 ford arostar where is 1 2 etc on the cap?

As on all Ford V6 engines, it's 1-4-2-5-3-6. Not sure of distributor rotation but, #1 should be indicated on the cap, as they are on all Ford distributor caps.

Go to your local Autozone store and get a book about repairs on your vehicle. They only cost about $20, and have lots of info in them. Good luck.
