Drain it into a pan, put it in a couple gallon jugs, and take them to almost any auto parts store, they will usually have a tank you can pour it in for free...

RE:
How do I dispose of old engine coolant without being too environmentally offensive?
Engine coolant is from a 2003 Subaru Forester with 60,000 miles.

You should take it to your local service station or put it in a special container and leave it for your sanitation department. Mark it as used automotive coolant and make sure that the trashmen know that it is to be disposed of in an appropriate manner.
You could also call your town or city department of sanitation and find out where such material should be deposited (some localities have special dumps or storage areas for used chemicals and/or environmentally dangerous materials). This also should be where you should dump old paint cans, used engine oil, batteries and even dead computers.

Usually places like Auto Zone or Napa will take it off your hands. If not, check with your local landfill.

Most neighborhoods have a community toxic waste station. Look it up in the telephone book and take it there.
