That's pretty funny. They should only fit one way. Don't know what kind of car it is, but the wheels, hub, and caliper all need to fit together, the right and left sides should not be interchangeable.

Don't do this yourself! The holes must match with the internal cooling fins, or you will weaken your disc - it could break apart at expressway speeds. You can also make your rotor off balance, which means that even if your tyres are balanced, the wheel will still bounce.
Why do you want to, anyway? Cross drilled rotors give a slightly better bite, but reducing the mass of the disc means that it heats up faster and to a higher temp, as well as cools faster (there is less mass to absorb the heat). Faster cooling is good for racing, but on the road it causes the disc to warp. It does NOT make your brakes run cooler. If you are braking that hard all the time (and I do mean ALL the time, every corner, like you're on a racetrack), then you need bigger brakes (more metal to absorb the heat.) Cross drilled rotors are about reducing your unsprung weight, not braking efficiency. They actually make your brakes less efficient (its just one of the compromises that racers have to make, but at least they can change the discs after each race.) Drilling rotors that weren't designed for it is never a good idea.

yeah man the pattern is everthing u wanna make it so the pattern goes against the grain and so the top of the slot hits the pad first then as it turns moves toward the bottom of the slot so when u have the pads on make sure the top of the slot or holes. Hold the rotors in front of u with the front of them. facing u. then in the curve pattern of the holes the top should hit the pad first. Like cup ur hand to make a C the top of the C should hit the pad first

Please do no longer circulate drill them your self. those areas ought to be balanced, the holes additionally ought to be drilled in this form of vogue as to no longer injury the fins that are solid into them. a solid set of circulate drilled ones could be discovered at a sensible fee. They cool speedier, end swifter and shrink unsprung weight. i exploit circulate drilled basically, you additionally can discover the slotted and drilled with slots. no longer understanding extra approximately how your vehicle has been serviced, the situation might basically be that the rotors did no longer have the glaze broken whilst the final set of pads have been put in. so as which you will get solid outcomes with new footwear and inventory rotors.

when installing them the drill pattern should run from left to right starting on the outside. if not installed like this there, will be almost no benefit from the centrifugal forces that are used to push the hot brake dust and gases out.

They should only fit on one way. So you don't have to worry about that.
