I 've been trying for 2 hours to put it on but I can't seem to line up the screws in the holes. The screws that came with the kit they're to short it seems. I've even tried some other screws and they didin't work either. Every time , I think it's lined up ready to screw in the hole, it falls or something. So if anyone has an easier method to getting it on correctly Please let me know. I'm going by the "so called directions" .(They suck. Help me.

What is the year, make and model of the car you are putting a door knob on, and why?

If you mean a household type door knob, get out your ice pick, or a long nail of the right size. Get it lined up and put the ice pick or nail through one of the screw holes to hold things lined up while you get the other screw started. Once started, leave it a bit loose and start the other one.

Now tighten them together, holding the knob in the correct position as you do it.

Try a bit of wax or tape to hold the unit in the door, outside screw first (furthest away from door jam), should line up with hole without about quarter to half inch of screw head sticking out. LOOK to make sure your are going in straight!

NOTE: some knobs, the locking kind, require they be locked or unlocked upon install.

Follow the directions , screws go on the inside of the room. The latch goes in first , the knobs last.
