I have a 2004 Sebring and lately my window on my side goes down every now and the if I'm at a gas staion ,or drive thru ,or going thru a toll that's when it decides it doen'nt want to work . I took it back to the dealership and they said they fixed it . When I pushed the button for it to go down I could hear this slow grinding sound that very same day the same thing all over again , it goes down when it wants too . What should I say to the dealership ?

Take it back again and ask them to fix it right this time. Tell them the noise that you hear. It sounds like the electric gears are going out and need to be replaced. They are probably doing a quick fix and not replacing with a new one and that is why it is only working temporarily when you get it back. I would "demand" in a nice way of course that they replace with a new part so this will end your bringing the car back to them a third time.
Good Luck.

There are several possible different reasons: One: Having your windows down reduces the speed in which your vehicle is moving meaning you waste more gas because the car now has to work harder to move at the same speed a car is going with it's windows up. Two: Women, especially, don't want their hair ruined by the blowing of the air at a fast rate. Especially on the highway. It can include men too. Three: Sometimes the air and the coolness from the breeze isn't enough so they turn on the air conditioning. Four: It can be due to bugs/insects. Who wants a bee flying into their car (or a spider for that matter)? Five: Noise can be a real problem for some people, especially if you live in a city. I'm sure there are personal reasons as well. But these are the main ones I can think of.

If the dealer replaced the the window motor the mechanic didn't tighten the bolts all the way. What ever the case is it should be under warranty. If this happened during the warranty time for parts and labor. If they don't fix it for free; there is an 800 number for you to call Chrysler in the back of you're Manuel. Once you call and and complain to Chrysler your problem will be solved. If is a Chrysler dealership you took your car to an not some random shop. Chrysler does not like customers who are having problems with dealers. Hope this helps.

Take it back to the dealership and make sure you keep all records to. Check the lemon laws in your state. Anyway, tell the dealer what is wrong. Now before you leave the dealer next time, run the window up and down a couple of times to make sure it works

How about "Hey, fix my window" and then tell them what you told us.

Chances are they need to lubricate the track the window moves in too. You might suggest they use a little silicon spray on it.
