If the main bearings have excess wear this will cause seal failure.I would remove oil pressure sending unit and install a mechanical gauge to check pressure.If it is ok The other answers are good place to start.

a leak in your front case seal would cause it to leak large amount of oil

might wanna get that seal replaced

Seals go bad with age. Replace the seal.

I guess the obvious reply would be ...too much oil or the crankcase ventalation is not working properly or excessive ring blow by... But it would help to know what engine you are talking about.
