I have a 2000 Silverado with a 5.3. It already has a Corsa exhaust on it and i wanted to make it louder. Will adding headers to it make it louder and add to its tone?

Headers will free up flow and relieve backpressure giving it a little more sound and a better tone during acceleration. If it's loudness you want I suggest putting a two-chamber flowmaster and bellhorn exhaust tips on it. They give it that loud resonance.

The headers will make it a bit louder but not much.Only you will be able to know the difference.Headers are more free flowing and the exhaust tubes are not as restricted as much as standard manifolds thus less restriction equals more sound.

I know it will give it a better tone. I don't know if it will actually be louder, but I think it does make it a little louder.
