i had my left light go out and the next day i changed it, 1 week later the right side burnt out, that was 5 years ago, no problem since, i work as a railroad signalman and the old timers used to age or season there bulbs , the bad bulbs after a day or so would burn out, there 's only so much life in everything , hents i would change both at the same time ,or you will be changing the other one sooner rather then later anyway.

Aren't you like me, pissed off when the guy on the other lane coming toward you has the high beam on.

Your hi beam will last for a while but still good to change it when you can. Might be a pain in the butt, but make sure you have insurance and no warrants out. That is a good reason for a cop to stop you too. Of course, just tell him it just burned out and you were waiting for tomorrow to fix it.

If one of the headlights are out, just get it replaced asap. If you can't/don't want to do it yourself, take it to a shop. It's annoying as hell to have someone come at you with their brights out but won't switch them because their regular headlight is out. Don't think the cops look on it too kindly either. Please. Have some courtesy for other drivers on the road.
