I drive a '99 Acura TL. Lately it will just shut off while driving. it used to start back up auotmatically. It doesn't do that now, but if i wait a few seconds and turn the key it will start right back up. Also sometimes when i first start the car it will die real quick unless i get on the gas fast enough. I'm going to take it in but haven't had a chance yet. what could be wrong with it?
thanks

Does your check engine light come on? If so, go to autozone for a free diagnostic. Sounds like a sensor, (cam shaft position sensor). Symptoms are as follows: At first start it will turn ON and immediately OFF. It will even turn off while taking off, unless you gas it quickly. If it is the cam shaft position sensor, a replacement is necessary. The cost of the part should be around $100, labor price varies.
When you get a diagnostic done, the error code will prob be 0344 or 0365.

Your situation sounds like a music-up is significant. Carbon has likely equipped up on the Idle Air administration motor and around the throttle plate(s) causing the idle velocity to be TOO LOW even as off the throttle. Have a qualified FORD storage do the artwork for you.

Seems to me like a O2 sensor!

it could be many things. i'm guessing it is a faulty fuel pump.

get the computer codes from the car and that will tell you more.

IF YOUR PROBLEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A BIG VACUUM LEAK.
Then you should check with your local mechanic
