It was very snowy out and going around a turn i lost control and the car (Ford Explorer) and hit a curb. I drove it home, although it was handling very roughly. I got home and inspected it and found that the rear, passenger-side tire is turned inward towards the wheel well. I am wondering, is the axle broken?

Obviously I'm going to get it taken to a mechanic and obviously I'm going to have to get it fixed to be drivable.
But, if anyone has an idea what is wrong or what this type of thing is going to cost to get fixed, I'd appreciate it.

I took my car to walmart for an oil change. The service guy drove it in and they changed the oil. Another service guy started it up and overreved the engine several times, I was there and saw and heard him do it , then he drove it out and parked it. I got in the car and drove it up the road and noticed it was making a noise from the engine and it wasn't running right. I went back and asked the original service guy to look at it and drive it to see if he could tell what was wrong with it. He did and he told me it was running good when he first drove it in and was not making any noises .I asked him what should I do now. He said take it to a mechanic to see what was wrong. I did. The mechanic said the engine was damaged. I went back to walmart and told them, they called a manager and both of the service guys told the manager it was ok when it came in but it was not now. The manager said that they were not responsible for the damage and they could not help me

I've been trying to tell my mother that she doesn't NEED to pump the accelerator prior to starting the vehicle because it's fuel injected. She never stopped doing it since they don't make automobiles with carburetors anymore.

Is this doing something bad to the engine? It's a 2003 Toyota Camry w/ 17000 miles and it doesn't sound too good!

I have a 1988 Dodge Daytona 2.5 liter 5 speed. The problem with my car is that when i am driving, my RPM gauge will drop to zero and yet my car will not stall out til i either press the clutch or put it in neutral. i recently went to auto zone and they told me it was my MAP sensor. i went on to replace said sensor and yet my problem still continues. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem with my car and how to fix it? If you can provide pictures it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You know.. I don't get it! I can not imagine moving to a state where cars FREEZE! I've been up north but never lived there long term and quite frankly... if you tell me that I'm going to come out of my house in the morning and find my car FROZEN I'd say maybe it's time to move to Florida!

for a while now when he starts it up in the morning it runs real rough. but after he drives it for a few miles it smooths out and you'd never know anything was wrong with it. just if you leave it sit like overnight or for a long time it runs rough for a while if you haven't driven it in a while. it seems to be getting worse because now we have to warm it up for about 10 mins befor we drive it and we think there is something seriously wrong. nobody knows what's wrong with it. just started recently after he installed a new transmission although i don't think that has anything to do with it.
help!

I have a 1997 Ford windstar. I was losing radiator fluid, but it wasn't draining out on the ground. I had a check light come on and say it was the No., 1 cylinder that had a fault. I took it to a garage and they pressure tested it and said it was leaking near the timing chain cover and probably internally because the spark plug was rusty. We determining that it would be too expensive to fix. I was going to take it home and it wouldn't start or budge. A second garage who did heads cheaper, said it engine was frozen. The radiator water had lots of rust in it. Another garage who specialiizes in engine rebuilding said it was unusual for it to freeze up. What is causing it to freeze and is it repairable without much cost (the unfreezing part).

Hey, I'm pretty ignorant about cars, but I'm really low on power steering fluid. I have a 2001 Ford Focus and its about empty. I know I can pick up regular power steering fluid on my way to work, but my question is does it matter if I pick up a particular brand or will any do? Thanks for any help

The serpentine belt was replaced, and it still squeals, but not as loud at the moment. My mechanic said to give it a day of long driving because they sprayed stuff on the pulleys that may have to work through and it takes a while to dry in cold weather. He said if it keeps doing it after driving awhile, to bring it back and that it might be the water pump. Any thoughts?

About 2 months ago my van was overheating. I replaced the thermostat, water pump, and radiator hose. This however did not cure the problem. So I decided to get the radiator flushed. This worked. So I thought. It was running fine. The temperature gauge would go up and down, but never went out of normal range. It mostly stayed somewhere near the lower part of "normal". Then yesterday, I drove my van and the temperature went higher than normal. I also have noticed a little leaking of coolant( a few drops). What could it be?

Brother has been very mean lately so I do not think he will help me. I need to jump car after I dig it and my neighbor's out of 3 inches of snow including trunk and hood so that will take awhile.

I do have directions in car for how to jump but an uncertain of one thing. Do not want to mess it up and harm neighbor's car as she is disabled and needs it.

One of the cables (forget if it is black or red as I don't have directions with me says not to put it on the battery post but on some metal somewhere by it.

Does anyone know where I am supposed to put this end and do I only put one color on correct post and the other on some other metal but not battery post on both of our cars or just mine. Please help as I feel desparate and upset...with noone top help me being alone and with no one to help but brother who lately won't help and is not home anyways.
