I have a brand new Evo 9 , which have been drove for about 3-4 months, everybodies know it snowed alot today in NYC, I tried to reverse the car but got stucked in the snow, after 2-3 times stalling . then the "service engine soon" light was turned on ....
So any expert know what the hell going on ? just because I got stuck in the snow and tried to reverse the car out already damaged the engine ? by the way, I reveresed with high speed cuz I tried to get it out from the snow.... but ended up with the burning smell and the "Service engine soon" light on....

You will need to at least have the codes read but my guess would be that the exhaust got buried which triggered an O2 Sensor or Catalyst Efficiency related code. If its one of those, clear the code and see if it comes back. If it doesn't, your fine.

Take it to a dealer...


But dont tell them what you did or they will say it's your fault and end up chargeing you a ton of money to fix it tell them you where going down the road and the check engine light just come on dont say any thing at all about getting stuck...

you might of done somthing to the clucth if it is a stick if not take it to a dealer and they will diagnose it for free
