Hey, I'm pretty ignorant about cars, but I'm really low on power steering fluid. I have a 2001 Ford Focus and its about empty. I know I can pick up regular power steering fluid on my way to work, but my question is does it matter if I pick up a particular brand or will any do? Thanks for any help

Ford PS fluid is basically the same as ATF. GM and Honda use unique PS fluids. Just about everyone else uses ATF.

Ford is extraordinary in that Ford potential steerage fluid is actual Mercon or Mercon V transmission fluid... do not use potential steerage fluid or it is going to reason the seals to leak between different issues

I'd be more concerned with the fact you're that low, check for leaks.
