It is a tiptronic automatic. I just came home today and when i put it into park, it was sticking and i had to jiggle it to get it into park. Then, after i was getting nervous because i think it's broken, I try putting it into gear. Then i put it into park and the same thing happened. Can someone tell me what's wrong?

When I put the car in drive, reverse, 2, 1, L, and even Neutral, the tires wont move! The car jerks back and forth, trying to move but doesn't because the tires aren't allowing it to move. There are no screeching noises at all. It appears that all tires seem "locked' as if something were preventing the tires from turning. Help! What should I do? any suggestions? Would i be able to do some sort of work on it myself? I would absolutely appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks alot -- from a nice female just trying to be self sufficient without taking her car to a mechanic that will just charge her a rediculous amount of money for something that perhaps may be simple, and she may be able to do some work on it herself.

i own a 2000 Chrysler Concorde LXi, 3.2L V6 engine, with approximately 82,000-mi. recently the transmission has been slipping when accelerating from dead stop, i cannot open the throttle but only a little before it starts failing, and also when i need to reverse, the tachometer reaches much higher revolutions than previously observed. once i have finally reached speeds of 45 plus will the tachometer show normal rpms at normal speeds, usually when the car meets 3rd or 4th/highest gear. my brother and i completed the routine transmission filter change and fluid flush, however the problem persists. Next, with the use of a OBD II device, the resulting codes displayed the news of faulty/improper gear ratios for 1st, 2nd and Reverse gears. i believe i need to replace the electronic sensors on the transmission. i am in need of professional or skilled help to resolve my auto's dilemma before she leaves me stranded on some interstate in a winter blizzard. thank you.

I just purchased a 191 Chevy Beretta from a private owner about a month ago, and there were no p[roblems with it until the third week I had the car, I started the car up and it said low coolant, and I had just recently put coolant in the car three days before. So i filled the car back up with coolant, and three days later it said low coolant again, I checked under the hood and all the anti-freeze coolant had leaked out on the ground, and it's a lot of snow here in Chicago, so I couldnt look under the car to see exactly where it was leaking from, but it doesn't like while the car is hot, only when the car is cool or parked overnight. The anti-freeze stays usually about 3 to 4 days then my car says low coolant because all the coolant would leak out by day three, so I was wondering if anyone may know whats causing the anti-freeze to leak out on the ground from the car? and whatever it may be, what is the price to get it replaced or fixed?

Reently purchased an 03 Corolla CE with only 32k miles on it. It is in great shape.

Given that I am an extremely conservative driver and that I live in the cold and snowy northeast, how long can I expect this car to last me as long as I do all the required maintenance? Thanks.

My power locks and lights won't work and my car won't start, so I'm pretty sure it's the battery that is dead, but the hood was covered with snow, so could it be that the battery is just frozen or something? The front end of my car is still embedded in a snow bank. Should I try to replace the battery or something? What should I do? I'm a girl in college and my daddy is an hour and a half away.

Just paid a mechanic over $3k to do repairs on a car I am selling. he recommended a friends detail shop to make the car look great and paid the friend $200 from the $3k I paid him to detail the car. It came back no better cleaned than a $15 car wash. The cup holders hadn't been touched, nor had the visors, vents, door seals, center console, under the seats, door mats etc. I took the car back and showed him what I had found and he was very "kind" and said he would gladly do it over; he said that it had been SO dirty (totally not that dirty) that it would take him three detail jobs to get it up to par. He said bring it back in the next couple of days. I called him TWICE to set up a time and he never took or returned my calls. I have since had a friend do the detail work out of town and I need advice from someone with knowledge on my rights. This happened nearly a month ago. HELP PLEASE:)

We have a 1991 Nissan Sentra and after temprature dropped below 10 F last night the manual stick will not go to any of the gear selections (feels just as if it stuck). The only exception is reverse, when I try to engage that the clutch makes a grinding noise. Any ideas???

ONE MORE THING. I DSCOVERED THAT THE CAR WILL SHIFT IF TURNED OFF, BUT WHEN THE ENGINE IS STARTED THE CLUTCH REFUSES TO ENGAGE.

My car started and then stalled, it has not restarted since. The egine will crank, it just won't turn over. The engine isn't getting gas. The fuel pump is fine and the car never gave any warning- no hesitation before dying. The distibutor is not getting power and there are no codes showing up. Any ideas on what's wrong?

the car will start no problem, but when you engage first gear, the clutch and gas pedal, the car does not move or accelrate at all. The clutch pedal is normal and not low. Could it be the clutch, engine related or is it something else.

The car started giviing us problems by barely moving and taking a while to get up to speed, then it got worse and to a point where it just will not move at all when first gear and clutch is engaged

Your feedback and advise would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks

My car has some scratches on the rear bumper and sides, near the taillights. How much would it cost to get these removed? I have tried fixing them myself with paint I got from an auto parts store, but it looks like crap.

When the car is for long period of time (14 hours) outside where the temperature is below 14 F. Should, (or do I have to) before I drive, to run engine for at least 10 min? If I run immidiately after getting into car and igniting engine, does it do damage to engine?

PS. I do not think so, but always my mother everyday yells at me in mornings that I will brake my car if I do not get up earlier and start engine to keep car itself warming for little period before I drive. She is not expert in car, but she concludes her theory based on observations that people from the neighborhood start warming car before they drive (they have outside, while I have car in garage- not warmed but safe from snow and ice).
