There are tons of air & oil filter brands that all brag about how much better they are than the compertition. Some cost more but are they any better? How can a guy know which is better?

Our car got stuck in the snow and ice, as I tried to step on the gas to make it go, my brother noticed that only the right front wheel is turning in the ice, while the left wheel isn't. I would expect a car with FWD to have BOTH wheels turning when stuck in ice or mud. When we did manage to get it out, it seemed as though the car was being driven only by one wheel--the right front wheel turns when the gas is hit, left wheel remains still. Is something wrong with the drivetrain, or is this normal?

What could be wrong with the car? It sounds like the battery. I have a 1991 Buick Regal Limited. It has some ignition column lock thing, could that be the problem?

The oil is spraying on the inner fender well on the driver side. I can't seem to see where it is coming from. Is it the oil pump? Pressure switch? It is coming out pretty fast, I lost about 3 qts. in less than 10 miles. Help please!!!!!

Within the last week i have noticed that sometimes when i brake something grinds like metal on metal. The same noise appears when i put full right lock on and drive off. Its very disconcerting as you can imagine. How much does it cost to change both front pads and shoes including labour on a ford focus Zetec 2003????

I'm trying to remove a rotor on a portable generator off of a tapered shaft, I have sprayed with kroil and put a long rod through the stem and hit with a hammer and it still won't budge even with pressure againts it. It's on a generac generator. Any help would be appreciated.

im taking out my 4.3 tbi and putting in a 350 tbi but you say the ecm is not the same i know the fuel injectors are not the same but at work the ecm has the same part numbers for the 4.3 or the 350 so is it just the injectors

Basically, when the engine is cold, the car makes a ticking sound, that has gotten worse over the last year. Combined with this the engine seems to be making more and louder sounds when cold. After 3-4 minutes of the engine running, the ticking sound almost completely goes away and the other engine noise lessens considerably but is still noticeable. Performance hasn't appeared to be affected but the noises are getting worse and worse for the last 2 years. I took it to 2 mechanics who couldn't figure it out before the engine got hot and the noise went away and to a dealer who wants to charge me 800 just to remove the engine and see if thats the problem, not to mention what it would cost to fix. I was just wondering if anyone might have an idea of what it could be, i think it probably is the engine but dont want to go into a mechanic or dealer without having more of an idea so i dont get ripped off. Can anyone help, maybe an idea? The sound seems to be coming from the engine, not elsewhe

what all would you need to start a body shop/garage? some stuff Ive considered we would like to do in it, Tune cars, tires, body work, body shop, paint cars, Dyno... what are the essential things you would need to open a car shop?

valve cover. i remember reading somthing about flat tapet cams being noisy especially when you have a big cam with high spring pressure. the cam's advertized duration is intake 286 exaust 292. the engine is a 40 over (dont know how th write the number properly) 454. the car is not warmed up but the oil pressure is good. dad said he herd the noise going to and from work and that the car did not reach operating temp, cause it is very cold right now. it only got up to 180 dergrese and the noise is constant as long as you have your foot on the gas. not sure if it was making the noise before, the readjustment but the car does feel a bit more powerful, it breaks the tiers loose a lot eaiser.

It is a 2001 Chrysler Sebring. It also smokes after I have been driving it for a while, and if I leave the vents on inside of my car the smoke comes inside. I put oil in and then I check it later on, but it is all gone; same with the power steering fluid. When I pull out of where I was parked, there are brown droplets all over the ground and they smell like oil.
