my ford explorer has been making a sound like if the tires are rubbing on the ground when i turn it makes the sound louder or when i hit a bump has this happend to anyone if so can you let me know what it is thanks

It happened a couple of times to my mom's Expedition. The Four Wheel Drive system makes it steering system resist the turn, the sound is the 4 wheel drive system, it won't hurt the car at all.

Probably snow packed up under the wheel arch. When the wheel bounces upwards or turns, it's just digging into this packed snow, which makes a rubbing sound.

sounds like some built up ice and snow in your wheel wells

there is probably just frozen slush and snow stuck in the wheel wells

Check your tire pressure.
