What could be wrong with the car? It sounds like the battery. I have a 1991 Buick Regal Limited. It has some ignition column lock thing, could that be the problem?

Sounds like either the starter or the ignition switch. If it was the battery then there would be no "sometimes" unless there's a loose connection. If the starter is actually kicking over then I can't really tell you anything more without more info or looking at the car.
