Real easy permanent fix, get a e-z out that fits broken bolt and extract it. If the threads are good, and they should be, just replace the bolt.
If the threads are bad then run a tap through the old threads and put a heli coil in and replace bolt, done . All part are available in your local auto store, and cheap should take about 1/2 hour.

Drop the pan, tap the threads, replace the gasket and put in a new bolt. It's not that expensive to fix it right. If you are thinking of additives, none will seal a leak that big and not hurt the inner workings of the transmission.

Depending on the type of pan, you may be able to helicoil it and install new bolts. I wouldn't know without knowing the year, make and model, though, since there are so many types of transmissions available.
It's probably best to consult a mechanic who's ASE-certified in transmissions, because they will know best how to repair it.

if it's the drain plug the make an oversized self taping bolt with a "soft" metal washer that you can use.
If it's a bolt that holds it onto the trans, take the old bolt and get one size larger, same length, self taping and insert.
If it bolts into the trans and you want to fix it right, drill the hole out and helicoil a new thread into the hole and bolt it back up.

if you have one bolt hole that needs fixed it should not cost much at all it can be retaped and a new bolt put in . it would be a waste of time to attempt a short term fix .
