Volvos have a strong reputation as the "safest" vehicles but they no longer top the charts in safety ratings. The current "safest" vehicles on the road are the Kia Sedona and Hyundai Entourage. A Volvo vehicle isn't even in the top 20 for 2007.

A volvo is no ferrari and a ferrari is no volvo. Both are very good cars, and they both do the same thing one does it very very fast and the other not so fast. In general, yes the Volvo is a fine swedish made automobile that has a lot of patents under it's belt for pioneering automotive safety and luxury amenities at fairly affordable prices. By the way, it's spelled pizzazz.

Volvo is excellent. It's not looked at the same way a Ferrari is. But Volvo is a very conservative car (not politically speaking), while being high end and classy. A Volvo reflects well on the owner. I would buy one if I had the $$.

The volvo is a very safe and reliable car. It doesn't have the zip of a ferrari, but it drives and handles good. They last a long time too. I would buy a volvo, but they're a little on the expensive side

They last a long time, my first car was almost going to be a volvo before my dad decided I wasn't ready and I got his hand-me down truck instead. =( But now they are kind of expensive, and I wouldn't waste my money on a volvo, i'd much rather get something that has the same safety rating but with a nicer look.

Volvos have a acceptance for safe practices and high quality. They were traditionally seen very conservative, almost stodgy vehicles. Volvo occupies the mid-aspect between monetary gadget and real luxurious, so it isn't a "status image" like a BMW or Mercedes. try to be high-quality with a Volvo. and also you're probably going to need all that sheet metallic even as in the early ranges of your driving career.

I have been condering the purchase of a Volvo, I find it a good family car, economical, and it retains it's value better than allot of cars. I think it is a very good combination of quaility, economy, and luxury. You can always buy a lemon, but I feel rather comfortable that a Volvo will not be a lemon.
