Thus, I failed the inspection :(

My question is, where are the engine mounts and how do they get broken?
And, can you fix it yourself? If so, how?

Thank you. Any advice will be appreciate because I DO NOT have the money to pay for the labor and would like to do it myself.

I have this Renault J8S engine in an 89 Trafic. I used to start it every six months or so to make sure it was still ok. Now it is a pig to get going and sometimes has to be bled. (There is nothing wrong with the timing or the glow plugs, OK?)

It squeaks when I drive it but the sound comes and goes. I've taken it to two mechanics and of course it wasn't making the noise and they said all looked okay. I just went to my Jeep dealership and they can't see me till next week.

Basically, it squeaks when I go straight and also when I turn. Sounds to me like it needs to be greased. What are some common problems that this could be?

after i start it, sometimes it makes the metal-grinding sound, really quick...it doesnt always do it... but it doesnt sound good when it does.

i have a 98 gmc jimmy and it is overheating really bad. i opened the radiator cap and there was this red gunk in my radiator. i tried to flush it out but i dont know how good of a job i did on it. can someone tell me how to flush a radiator out or tell me what the problem may be?? thanks.

I drive a 1998 Ford Taurus. My vehicle vibarates really bad only while I am driving. I have been told that it could be a CV Joint, Axle, Burnt Cylinder or bad motor mount. The engine does shake when you put it in drive and push on the accelerator. Does anyone know what the problem could be. My bro told me to take it to the shop and tell them to replace the CV Axle. What should I do or what could the problem be?

Is it a broken coil spring or a strut issue or both. The car has a slight lean to it and when I jack the car up I can seen the spring is broke. Looking for the cheapest repair option as I am looking to buy a new car soon.

Bought the Clio from new, and today an orange light came on thats shaped like an engine. The car has no power, and goes juddery when I try to accelerate. It feels like theres no power.

I just bought my first car and went to Sainsburys forecourt to put some petrol in it, I was supposed to choose the green handle but got five pounds worth of the red handle which was lead replacement i think. I drove 20 odd miles home but should i syphon off the rest? or will it be ok?

I have a 96' Ford Thunderbird, and I can't lock the doors without the car alarm going off. I've tried using the door panel instead of the key chain, and it still doesn't work. Is there a way to turn off the alarm completely and just use the door locks??

hey all...my catalytic converter is goin out...so locally im lookin at 250$ just for the part and on ebay they are going for 30-140 instead.. some of them are aftermaket however. if i bought one thats aftermarket that has a fitment specific to my car is it any different to fit then the original one or would it be close enough not to make the person puttin it in do more work to install it?

Our car is getting harder to start. Sometimes it is fine but at other times we hear a single click when you turn the key. The battery is fine because the lights and radio still work. But we were under the impression that when your starter went out you heard lots of clicks not just one. Any thoughts. My husband has done some of the work on this car but not lots. We would like to avoid taking it to a machenic and have to spend lots of money because we are moving to Europe in a few month and won't be taking it with us,

i own a honda civic lx 2003, and just a couple of days ago i started having problems with it. i took it to a shop and the guy says that i have to change the whole thing, the car still drives but it wont go faster than 20 miles per hour, i can hear the engine accelerating but it wont go over 20 mi.
do i really have to change the whole thing?

hi all,

i was having issues with starting my car (04 nissan sentra) and when i asked the question, i got back an answer that suggested leaving the key in the "on" position for a bit before starting the car and this seems to work. here are my questions:

1. why does my 3 year old car with about 58,000 miles on it need a fuel filter or even worse, a new fuel pump?
2. is this a common problem?
3. what can i do to lessen the wear on the fuel filter/pump?
4. is the fuel pump a costly repair?
