When car is at idle for some time after running some miles the temp gauge start to reading higher than normal until it reach the red zone.

Rev the car between 2500 and 3000 will down the temp until its normal position, but after some minutes at idle the temp start climbing again.

When the temp is higher than normal the radiator's upper hose is very hot but the under hose is cold. After rev the car between 2500 and 3000 RPM, and the temp reach the normal level, the under hose starts to be warm and then hot after a minute.

I replace the thermostat with a new one, the radiator was checked and it is OK. The problem rise only when the car is idle for a while after it has been running.

Climb a mountain does not rise the temperature higher than normal, but stop the car or began to lower the hill at idle will do it.

Any help will be apreciate!

Fuel Inj, V6, Auto Trans. It has fuel -- has spark to all cylinders. Fuses are ok. Cranks ok. Occasionally spits (backfires) thru throttle body. Right before it died, friend stated it ran horrible and had to feather gas to stay running. Would run for about 2 minutes and die. Also he thought he saw a low oil psi as well. (He's kinda unsure of this)

Acura needs rear main seal and differential seals done which require the engine to be dropped...cost: $1,500-$2,000. The car has 253,000 miles on it but otherwise is in tip top shape. I am afraid that the mechanics will nickel dime me to death if I keep it when they see the odometer...Is it time to get the new car? I only have $15,000 to work with if I don't want a note...

Recently our car stopped running right in the middle of the road while driving...no warning...no clues..or anything. When checking under the hood, we could not see anything wrong other than the motor was completely free of oil and there was also a hole in the oil pan, so I assumed all of the oil had been leaking out.

A family friend in another state who has experience with auto repair believes that the motor could have locked up or possibly a problem with the coil. He also mentioned an electrical problem.

The car is a 4-dr Toyota Camry 1996 model, 2.0 liter engine with 4 cylinders. We've never had any problems with it prior to this, however the car does have almost 170,000 miles so it is quite possible that the engine went kaput. Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated.....thanks gang!

How does this work? You just drive your car up and they do a quick oil change, or do you have to fill out paperwork? Do they need any info on your car and if so , what? How much does this generally cost and how often should I get my oil changed?

Hello everyone I am having a problem with my car. Before winter my car would run decent. When it started getting colder the car quit one day and it hasn't been driven since. It use to start up in my drive way and shake really bad. Now it will not start at all. I've tried fuel injector cleaner, new spark plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter. It does turnover but will not start. The battery and starter are obviously fine, but it just won't start. I did notice that gas will fill up one of the cylinders when I start it up. My one friend said I may need a new ECU. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I asked a question about what might be causing my Liberty to squeak. Some people said the bushings.

Only the front of the Jeep makes the noise and it comes and goes. It sounds like something needs to be greased. Like the sound of an old door. The noise happens if I go straight or turn.

I took it to 2 mechanics and of course the Jeep wouldn't make the noise and they said it looked fine. I have an appointment with our Jeep dealership next week and they will charge $49.99 just to look at it. Is that my best bet? Should I go elsewhere? How can I see if it's the bushings? Can we fix it?

Lot'sa questions here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :o)

It leaked coolant all over the driveway, and cost over $400 to replace it. I had never had this happen to much older vehicles than a truckj less than 5 years old with only 61,000 miles.

My belt was squealing for a little over a week and I just thought it was my alternator or a squeeky belt, even though it's brand new. Last night I was running my truck to get it warmed up and we all heard a loud snapping noise and we automatically all said it was the belt. So I went and turned my truck off only to find out that the round part that actually touches the belt had snapped off and was laying on the ground. If anyone can tell me how to replace it or a site that lets me read the instructions for free, I would be eternally grateful.

I took my car into Aamco in Texas to have a vibration that happened when making a turn from a stopped position looked at. After telling me they weren't sure what it was but, having had another mechanic look at it they thought that it could be my rack and pinion. They charged me 900 and said it was fixed after a bunch of other BS. Long story short, the noise is worse and sounds really bad. When we called the owner to ask what he would do about it he basically said it was our problem and he would charge us to fix the differential, which was the problem to begin with. Can I take him to court? Will I win?
